On Oct 12, 2025, I reached my 77th milestone. A long and a tiring journey full of ups and downs, and twists and turns. Despite all the challenges and difficulties along the way, I made it anyway. Thank You God for the Lifespan and Healthspan bestowed on me.
Based on Hijrah Calendar, I am now an 80 year old man because I was born in the year 1367 Hijrah.
Whether I am 77th or 80th, I am still the same old man. Older, weaker and wiser with years of accumulated knowledge and life experiences. Despite being a bit weak compared to my younger spring chicken days, I am still healthy and fit without any chronic diseases. I can still move around and do my daily routine freely without any assistance. On certain fine days, I will walk around my neighborhood for more than 4 kilometers non-stop. Not bad for an old man like me. Thank You Allah for all these mobilities.
To stay fit, beside a continuous Doa to the Almighty Allah, I do practice a Healthy Lifestyle everyday. I don't drink and smoke. I take proper care of my diet. I exercise regularly. I schedule my sleep by sleeping and waking up early. I manage my stress and pressures. I look after my hygiene and stay hydrated. I take a rest and relax when necessary. I socialise all the time. Social Interaction is important for keeping our mind sharp and fresh. Don't isolate yourself. Last but not least, I ensure that I remain positive and optimistic all the time.
As a 77 year old man, daily movement is important in order to stay in good shape. Move More, Sit Less. That is my Motto. But I often move cautiously to avoid fall or mishap. I don't rush things and often do things step by step, stride by stride. I take my time because I have all the times in the world, but finish all the tasks that I started.
Rushing things and do things hastily only invite mishap and elevate your Blood Pressure!
Daily cautious movement not only keeps you physically fit but also mentally fresh and strong. The movement will help strengthen the muscles and pump the blood and oxygen throughout the body.
To stay mentally sharp, I read, write and think everyday. Alhamdulillah. Until now, I am still able to read widely and speedily, write and think well. This Blog is one of my media to keep me occupied and sharp.
