The United Nations has gazetted May 10 as A Mother's Day. The Day is celebrated throughout the world as a mark of respect to all mothers. Mothers, young and old, should be held in high esteem because of the umpteenth sacrifices they have made. Without them we will not be conceived, delivered, fed, dressed, educated and brought up as good and responsible citizens.
In my opinion, Mother's Day should be celebrated everyday, not once a year. They deserve the utmost respect, care and love from us, everyday. Whether they are young or old, mothers are always there and ever ready to make sacrifices for their beloved children. Just imagine, from the moment they open their eyes in the early hours until they shut their eyes for a good night sleep, their lives are always about works for us, the children. They demand nothing from us for all that, not a single cent . In fact, they provide all these services gratis. Don't we realise that? From now on, we should kiss, care and say thanks to our mothers everyday for all the sacrifices made and for all the laundries, breakfasts, lunches and dinners prepared for us. We should treat our mothers as Queens of The House. Shower them with our undying love, caring and respects. Assist their everyday works, ease their work burden, cook for them, provide them with good health care as and when necessary etc. We must do all these because they are our Special Beloved Mothers who have sacrificed so much for us.
My beloved mother, Pn Hajah Mariam Ali, passed away few years back. Her good deed and kindness showered on me will never be forgotten and will always be in my mind until the last day. As a filial son, it's my duty to recite special Doa for her after my everyday prayers. I never miss a single day without a special Doa for her and my father. May Allah blesses their souls.
In conjunction with The Mother's Day, I would like to wish A Happy Mother's Day to all Mothers out there, including my Beloved Wife, YM Raja Akhmar Raja Shahardin, who is a good mother to my 5 children. Of course, not forgetting my two daughters, Siti Sarah and Dr Siti Diyana who are mothers themselves. Be good mothers to your children. To all my children, Siti Sarah, Dr Siti Diyana, Muhammad Faiq, Muhammad Haikal and Siti Balqis, always give your loving care to your Mother and always be good children to your beloved mother.
