Everyone has a Special Day. My Special Day is Hari Raya AidilAdha.
Today I celebrated not only the Day of Sacrifices (Hari Raya Korban) but also my 80th Birthday.
With this Milestone I am now in the SuperAger League. Yes, you read it right.
But not in AD Year (Masehi). It's in Hijrah Year!
80 years ago today I was born in a small village known as Kampung Masjid in Port Swettenham (now Port Klang). That historic day was 10 Zulhijah 1367 Hijrah, and that date makes me eligible to be a SuperAger today.
Coinsidentally, my Mrs, Raja Akhmar Raja Shahardin, was also born on Hari Raya AidilAdha, but in a different Hijrah Year. She was born on 10 Zulhijah 1373H.
But based on AD Calendar (Masehi), I am still 2 years and 4 months short of reaching my 80th Birthday. Since Islamic Calendar (Hijrah) is shorter than the AD Calendar by 11 days a year, I reach the SuperAger Category earlier in the Islamic Calendar.
Islamic Calendar is based on Lunar Year (Moon circling the Earth) while AD Year is based on Solar Year (Earth and Moon circling the Sun).
Alhamdulillah and Syukur to Allah, I am currently still in fine shape, physically and mentally. I still move around without any help and perform my daily activities independently. And I still read, write and think well. Alhamdulillah.
Every Hari Raya AidilAdha is my Birthday! So easy to remember.
Look After Your Health, and the Health Will Look After You.
A Blessed Hari Raya AidilAdha to all Muslim Readers
May Allah Bless All Your Sincere Sacrifices
From Me and Family
