I am a Walker. I walk most of my life, from my younger days until now, at the ripe old age of 77.
I started walking ever since I knew how to walk. From then on I never look back.
During my Kampung Masjid Days, I often walked from front Kampung to the back Kampung, played with my kampung buddies and played football at a nearby football field.
In my Primary School days, I used to walk to school and back to my Kampung. The school located roughly about 1 kilometer away.
Walking was my everyday affair during my Secondary School, I often walked to School from a Bus Station whcih was located half mile from the school.
In my Form Six days, I often walked to High School from Klang Bus Station which was located about half kilometer from the school.M
My time with LPK was filled with walking. I often walked from my house at Jalan Sekolah to Port Klang Bus Station which was located about half mile from my house. In Port, I walked all the time in the Sheds and along the Port Wharves.
Walking was part of me during my Hitch Hiking days in Europe, I walked most of the time, traveling through Sweden to Denmark, Germany, Austria, Italy, France and England.
When I was with Eric White Associates, I often walked from KL Bus Station to Jalan Ceylon and then backed to the Bus Station.
When I started my own company, Al-Sadiq Consultants, I often walked from Putra Train Station to Wisma Datuk Dagang at Kampung Baru, KL. Then climbing 2 stairs to my office. Returning home, and to refresh my mind after a long stressful day, I chose to walk to Central Market to meet few friends, and then walked to KL Bus Station..
Now at the ripe age of 77, I still walk as a Physical Exercise around my Seri Andalas neighbourhood for about 4 kilometers during a fine day.
Walking has contributed a lot to my current Good Health.
I will continue to walk for Good Physical and Mental Health, and for Longevity.
Walking is my life. It is a part of me as long as I live.
